[Developer Note] Future Plans for Dimensional Singularity and Upcoming Content Updates

Hello, Masters.
I’m Hyun Moon-soo, the Producer of OUTERPLANE.
First, I would like to sincerely thank all Masters who celebrated our 3rd Anniversary with us.
To the Masters returning to OUTERPLANE after some time, those joining us for the first time, and those who have stayed with us over the years, your support and encouragement have been a great source of strength for our entire development team, myself included.
Today, I would like to share our future plans for Dimensional Singularity, along with several upcoming content updates and improvements.
■ Future Plans for Dimensional Singularity
Dimensional Singularity has now become one of OUTERPLANE’s core endgame modes.
Many Masters are challenging higher scores through research, strategy, and different team compositions, and the development team has continued to review both gameplay data and player feedback.
Our goal for Dimensional Singularity is not to create a mode where one specific strategy becomes the only correct answer. Instead, we want it to be content where Masters can study each boss’s traits and explore different Heroes and team compositions suited to each encounter.
To support this direction, future bosses will be designed so that Heroes who match each boss’s element and patterns can be used more effectively to achieve higher results.
Current Damage over Time-focused team compositions will continue to remain viable. However, rather than allowing the mode to rely too heavily on one particular strategy, we want to gradually build an environment where a wider variety of Heroes can perform well.
As the first step in this direction, the new boss [Ksai] will be added to Dimensional Singularity in the June 16 update. Ksai is being designed so that Water Heroes can play a major role.
Going forward, we will continue expanding Dimensional Singularity so that different Heroes and strategies can have value depending on each boss’s characteristics, rather than having one fixed team composition become the answer for every boss.
In addition, some current Dimensional Singularity bosses enter Enraged state faster as more damage is dealt, which can create situations where dealing high damage actually becomes a disadvantage.
We do not believe this is appropriate for content centered around damage competition. Therefore, in the June 16 update, we plan to change the Enraged condition from being based on the boss’s remaining HP to being based on the number of ally turns taken.
Through this change, we hope Masters will be able to respond to boss ultimate skills more intuitively and focus more directly on increasing their damage.
As Masters continue to grow stronger and deepen their understanding of Dimensional Singularity, we are also preparing to expand the mode’s rank structure.
We are preparing higher levels of challenge and competition, and we are also reviewing new progression elements to support that direction.
This includes several possibilities, such as expanding options for Singularity Armor and adding new Quirks. We will share more details once they are finalized.
■ Balance Adjustments for Poolside Trickster Regina
The June 16 update will also include balance adjustments for Poolside Trickster Regina.
When Regina was first released, she stood out with her buff-stealing concept and high Crit Chance utility. However, in the current content environment, her role has become somewhat limited.
Through this adjustment, we plan to preserve Regina’s existing identity while improving her ability to counter enemy Revival and Resurrection effects, allowing her to be used in a wider range of situations.
In particular, we are preparing improvements so that she can become a meaningful option against Fire-element bosses in Dimensional Singularity.
We hope you look forward to seeing Regina return with improvements across multiple areas.
■ Summer Limited Hero Reruns
In the June 16 update, the 2024 Summer Limited Hero [Poolside Trickster Regina] and the 2025 Summer Limited Hero [Summer Knight’s Dream Ember] will be rerun.
These reruns also mark the beginning of the 2026 summer season.
New 2026 Summer Limited Heroes and summer events are currently being prepared with a target date of July 14. We are doing our best to bring you a more enjoyable and rewarding summer season.
The rerun period will be fairly generous, and various events and rewards are also being prepared. We hope you can enjoy the summer season without feeling too much pressure.
■ Addition of Dimensional Supply
As OUTERPLANE continues as a long-running live service, Masters’ progression stages and play patterns have also changed in many ways.
In particular, we have seen that many long-time Masters are now placing greater focus on gear progression and detailed build optimization than on Hero recruitment.
Some Masters have also shared feedback that, while they have accumulated various recruitment resources over a long period of play, they have relatively limited options when it comes to investing in gear progression.
In response, the development team has prepared the [Dimensional Supply] system to provide a new option for gear progression.
Through Dimensional Supply, Masters will be able to obtain various growth resources, Gold, and high-value gear. The system will also include a guarantee feature that allows Masters to obtain Legendary Gear of their choice after a set number of uses.
Alongside Dimensional Supply, we are also preparing a feature that expands the use of certain recruitment resources.
Special Recruitment Tickets will be exchangeable for Dimensional Supply Tickets, the currency used for Dimensional Supply. We hope this will allow long-time Masters to make better use of the resources they have accumulated.
We will continue reviewing systems that expand progression options and allow each Master to grow in a way that better fits their own playstyle.
■ Official Launch of Real Time Arena
Based on the feedback and gameplay data gathered during the beta season, Real Time Arena will officially launch as a regular mode.
Starting from the official season, weekly rankings will be calculated, and weekly rewards will be distributed based on each league.
First-time rank rewards will also be available when reaching certain ranks in Tactics League and Masters League.
A dedicated Real Time Arena currency, [Real Time Arena Medal], will also be added.
Real Time Arena Medals can be obtained through battle results and weekly rewards, and they can be exchanged for certain resources in the dedicated shop.
However, the development team does not want Real-Time Arena to feel like mandatory content for every Master.
For Masters who enjoy Real Time Arena, we want to provide consistent goals and rewards. At the same time, for Masters who do not, we want to maintain a reward structure that does not create unnecessary pressure.
We will continue operating Real Time Arena as content for Masters who enjoy competition, while improving the mode in a direction that minimizes the burden of participation.
We are also continuing to investigate and fix the various bugs and stability issues currently being reported.
That said, because Real Time Arena is played in a global environment, some latency caused by differences in regional network conditions may be difficult to fully resolve in the short term.
We will continue working to provide a more stable environment, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
■ Closing
Many Masters have joined us for OUTERPLANE’s 3rd Anniversary.
Once again, thank you for your support and encouragement. We are preparing content and improvements across multiple areas so that we can provide a better experience going forward.
However, due to unexpected variables during development and adjustments to priorities, some items announced in this year’s roadmap may have schedule changes or require additional development time.
We sincerely apologize to the Masters who have been waiting for these updates.
The development team and I take our promises to Masters seriously. Even if some items take more time, we will continue doing our best to deliver each of the updates we have discussed.
We ask for your continued interest in OUTERPLANE and your valuable feedback. We will continue listening closely to all feedback you share with us.
Thank you.
