[Developer’s Note] Monad Iota Update & Accuracy/Evasion Follow-up

This is OUTERPLANE PD Hyun Moon-soo.
With the first update of February, I’m glad to greet you again through this Developer Note. In today’s note, I’d like to share the current progress on the improvements for Monad Iota that we announced in the January Developer Note, along with follow-up details regarding the [Accuracy] / [Evasion] / [Heals When Hit] stat improvements.
1. Progress Update on Monad Iota Improvements
As mentioned in the previous Developer Note, we are currently working on improvements for Monad Iota, including animation/motion updates, Korean voiceover re-recording, and performance adjustments.
1) Animation/Motion Updates
- Updates to the Lobby motion and battle idle/stand have been completed.
- After additional polishing, we are preparing to apply these changes in the Feb 24th update.
2) Korean Voiceover Re-recording
- We refined the lines to match the updated motions, and the re-recording schedule has been confirmed.
- These changes will be implemented together with the motion update in the Feb 24th update, or at the latest, in the following update.
3) Direction for Performance Adjustments
Since the update, we have continuously monitored usage data for both attack and defense decks in the PvP environment, and we have reviewed aggregated win rate data along with internal simulation results.
As a result, we believe Monad Iota is already fulfilling her role in influencing the PvP meta, and at this time, we do not think it is appropriate to significantly increase her PvP power.
However, we do see a clear need to improve her usability in PvE and long-duration content, and we are preparing adjustments in the direction below.
▷ Regarding [Golden Curse]
- Code Ra’s [Golden Curse] will be changed to apply to all targets.
- When a Light-element target is affected by [Golden Curse], an additional suppression effect will be applied.
- However, we have decided not to add a debuff removal option to Monad Iota, as we believe that would overly restrict counterplay options.
▷ Regarding Damage Output
- Skill damage for “Descend of the Solar Deity” and “Code Ra” will be increased slightly.
- When using “Code Ra,” partial penetration will apply not only to bosses but also to non-boss targets.
- Additionally, damage will increase progressively based on the number of times “Code Ra” is used, allowing her to deal higher damage in PvE and long battles.
▷ Transcend Effects & Exclusive Equipment
- In line with the name “Monad,” a Double Dual Attack effect identical to the one with Monad Eva will be added.
- This effect will be provided as the Transcend 5 effect, and the unique effect of her Exclusive Equipment will be partially adjusted accordingly.
In addition, to further improve her PvE usability, [Golden Curse Immunity] will be removed from certain bosses.
These performance adjustments are planned to be applied as a hotfix between Feb 11th and Feb 13th, and we will provide detailed information again at the time of the update with the final applied values.
Until the final implementation, we will continue simulations and verification to ensure the changes are introduced carefully without causing issues.
2. Follow-up on [Accuracy] / [Evasion] / [Heals When Hit] Stat Improvements
We originally intended to implement all related improvements in the Feb 10 update, but due to insufficient time for changes and testing, some changes are being postponed to the Feb 24 update.
We sincerely apologize for our lack of preparation.
Below are the remaining tasks and temporary measures after the Feb 10 update:
1) Replacement Work for [Accuracy] / [Evasion] Sets
- We believe current offense-oriented and offense-linked utility sets are sufficient.
- The [Accuracy] / [Evasion] sets will be replaced with defense-oriented or utility sets.
- However, because combat formulas related to [Accuracy] / [Evasion] / Miss will change in the Feb 10 update, the effect values of the [Accuracy] / [Evasion] sets will be temporarily adjusted to 0 until the next update.
- We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
2) Combat Power Formula
- Since the previous Combat Power formula included [Accuracy] / [Evasion], and it has not yet been fully updated, the Combat Power displayed for many Masters may appear lower than before.
- This is a display issue only, and actual combat performance has not decreased.
- Rather than simply adding the new stats into the existing formula, we are re-checking the overall structure of Combat Power calculation. We ask for your understanding until the improvements are completed.
3) Class Description Images
- Some class description images still display [Accuracy] / [Evasion]. These will be revised and updated.
4) Help Image Updates
- Some Help images do not match the latest systems. These will be replaced with updated versions in the next update.
At the Taiwan Game Show, we had the opportunity to speak directly with Masters who visited the OUTERPLANE booth. It reminded us once again that we still have much to improve and further develop.
